ABOUT ME
I am passionate about empowering children and adults alike to overcome their mental health struggles and live a more satisfying life.
I have worked in Germany, New Zealand and Australia with people from age 4 to 65 across a variety of settings – both in the clinical and education sector. Having worked across countries has given me experience in working with people from all walks of life and a range of cultural backgrounds.
When I am not working, I enjoy baking, board games, and spending time with my family in nature.
HOW I WILL WORK WITH YOU
I believe I can support you best if I know where you have come from, where you are at and where you want to be. We can then establish new pathways to move you closer to your goals. May this be overcoming anxiety, dealing with depression or other mental health struggles you are experiencing. I use evidence-based interventions to do so.
I am warm but pragmatic and want you to feel heard and empowered. I often use the whiteboard and handouts to support the process and give you something to take away. Therapy begins in the session but it doesn’t end there and I want you to be able to continue your journey outside of the session.
If your child needs help, we will work as a team to support them on their mental health journey. When working with little ones, I am playful and creative. Play is a child’s language and an effective therapeutic approach.

ABOUT ME
I work with children (5 years and over), adolescents, adults, seniors, families, and groups, and I have a particular interest in supporting people experiencing anxiety, neurodiversity-related challenges, school refusal, self-esteem difficulties, trauma, and stress-related concerns.
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, person-centred, and collaborative. I believe that creating a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental environment is the foundation for meaningful therapeutic work. I aim to support clients to feel genuinely heard and understood while working together towards practical and sustainable change.
I take a strengths-based approach and recognise that every person brings their own values, experiences, and capacities into therapy. I value helping clients build insight, emotional understanding, resilience, and confidence, while developing practical skills that support their day-to-day wellbeing and long-term goals.
I understand that beginning therapy can feel overwhelming at times, and I strive to offer a calm, supportive, and approachable space where clients feel comfortable to engage at their own pace.
HOW I WILL WORK WITH YOU
I work in a warm, collaborative, and flexible way, tailoring therapy to each person’s individual needs, goals, and lived experience. I see therapy as something we work through together, rather than a process where clients are simply told what to do. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is central to my work, and I place importance on creating a space where people feel safe, respected, and empowered throughout therapy.
I regularly check in with clients about what is feeling helpful, what may need adjusting, and how therapy can best support their goals. I aim to help clients better understand themselves and their experiences, while also developing practical tools and strategies that can create meaningful and lasting change.
My work is grounded in evidence-based practice, and I draw on approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed approaches. After many years combining a career in the performing arts with a young family, I decided it was time for a career change. I began my studies in Psychology which ignited a new passion and a great sense of fulfilment. Understanding the human body, not just how it works but why, fascinates me and I am curious about everyone’s story and what makes them the person they are. I am now in the midst of a second career where I feel privileged to share in peoples’ lives and assist them on their personal journey to reach their goals and to achieve a greater wellbeing.
I’ve spent nearly 20 years working in the field of psychology in a range of roles including counselling, coaching, mentoring, researching, tutoring, and training individuals and groups across the life span (ages 16 – 92 years), from different backgrounds, cultures and nationalities. Much of my work has been within the higher education system working at both Macquarie University and the University of Sydney. I’ve also worked in the private health system and private practice. In addition, I am a Board-approved Supervisor and I have supervised Psychologists across Australia and New Zealand.
HOW I WILL WORK WITH YOU
My approach is client-focused and practical. I believe that warmth, compassion, respect, and empathy facilitate a relaxed and, at times, fun environment where collaboratively we can explore challenges, and work towards managing them. I combine evidence-based treatments and a focus on your strengths to enable the best possible outcomes, and I’ll do this drawing diagrams, using analogies, and worksheets to ensure that you are able to learn lifelong skills that will empower you now and in the future.

ABOUT ME
I have worked with a range of individuals across the lifespan in health, government, and remote settings. My approach is collaborative and non-judgemental, fostering a safe space for open expression. One of the aspects I find particularly rewarding in my profession is the diversity of individuals I have the privilege of working with across all age groups. I derive great satisfaction from tailoring therapeutic approaches to meet the distinct needs of each developmental stage, promoting resilience and well-being across the lifespan.
I grew up in Hobart, but I have also spent some time living and travelling overseas. These experiences were rewarding but have also deepened my love for Tasmania. I enjoy being active, being in nature and near water. I like jigsaw puzzles, food, music, and caring for a collection of indoor plants.

Registered Psychologist
I have experience working across private clinics and neuropsychiatry treatment settings. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, and I have a particular interest in supporting neurodiverse people and those who have been living with persistent or complex mental health difficulties.
I have worked in neuromodulation settings using transcranial magnetic stimulation and transcranial direct current stimulation with people experiencing depression that has not responded to other treatments. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia. Alongside therapy, I value helping people make sense of their experiences, reconnect with themselves, and find steadier ground during difficult periods.
I aim to offer a calm, thoughtful, and supportive space, and I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting. My hope is that people feel genuinely listened to, respected, and met with care from the very first session.
HOW I WILL WORK WITH YOU
I work in a warm, gentle, and collaborative way. I place a strong emphasis on building a real and trusting therapeutic relationship, and on getting to know you as a person rather than as a set of problems to be fixed. I try to listen deeply and to move at a pace that feels right for you.
A central part of my work is regularly checking in together about how therapy feels, what is helpful, and what might need to change. I want our sessions to feel thoughtful, meaningful, and genuinely useful, and I see therapy as something we shape together over time.
My work is grounded in humanistic and narrative ways of working, and I also draw on approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, somatic-based therapies, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia when they suit your needs and goals. I am especially interested in helping people reconnect with what matters to them, develop a kinder relationship with themselves, and find ways of living that feel more meaningful and sustainable.
With neurodiverse clients and with children, I often use play-based and creative approaches where this feels helpful, and I focus on supporting emotional understanding, connection, and everyday coping in ways that feel safe and respectful.

Mental Health Accredited Social Worker
ABOUT ME
I am an experienced Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with over 15 years of experience supporting people across a broad range of settings, including hospitals, non-government organisations, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), substance use services, and private practice. I work with adults and have experience supporting people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, addiction, stress, self-esteem difficulties, domestic violence, and major life transitions.
When I meet someone for the first time, my goal is for them to feel welcome, heard, accepted, and validated. I bring a warm, authentic, and empathic approach to therapy and aim to create a safe, non-judgemental space where people can speak openly about difficult experiences and challenges.
I take a whole-person, strengths-based bio-psycho-social approach. I recognise that emotional wellbeing is influenced by many factors including personal history, relationships, family structure, lifestyle, environment, physical health, and support networks. My broad experience has given me a deep understanding of the human experience and awareness of the wider supports that may assist clients in their recovery and wellbeing journey.
HOW I WILL WORK WITH YOU
I work in a collaborative, compassionate, and recovery-focused way, recognising that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I aim to understand not only the challenges bringing someone to therapy, but also their strengths, values, experiences, and goals.
I spend time developing a detailed understanding of each person’s presenting concerns, what they have already tried, and what they would like to achieve through therapy. I see therapy as a partnership and aim to create a space where people feel respected, supported, and empowered throughout the process.
I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy. I tailor these approaches to suit each individual’s needs and circumstances to support meaningful and sustainable change.
I also have particular interests in emerging experiences such as climate change anxiety and “vystopia” — the emotional distress some people experience related to living in a world that feels misaligned with their values.

ABOUT ME
I am passionate about empowering children and adults alike to overcome their mental health struggles and live a more satisfying life.

HOW I WILL WORK WITH YOU

ABOUT ME
I have worked with a range of individuals across the lifespan in health, government, and remote settings. My approach is collaborative and non-judgemental, fostering a safe space for open expression. One of the aspects I find particularly rewarding in my profession is the diversity of individuals I have the privilege of working with across all age groups. Whether assisting children in developing coping skills, supporting adolescents in navigating identity and life transitions, or working with adults to address a range of concerns, each age cohort brings unique perspectives and challenges.
HOW I WILL WORK WITH YOU
In my practice, my aim is to create a supportive space where you feel genuinely heard and recognized for your unique self. I believe in your inherent capacity for growth, and my role is to guide and support you. I take joy in understanding each person’s individuality and framing their goals accordingly. ABOUT ME
I have experience working across private clinics and neuropsychiatry treatment settings.

ABOUT ME
Before beginning my journey into psychology, I spent several decades working across hospitality, business management, and the not-for-profit sector. My career took me across Australia and the United States in a range of customer-focused and high-pressure roles—experiences that deepened my understanding of people and what helps them thrive. Eventually, I found myself drawn to a career where I could use those insights in a more meaningful way—and studying psychology felt like a natural next step.
Now, as part of the team at Psychology South, I feel privileged to support clients in ways that are practical, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based care. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults, including those navigating life transitions, mental health challenges, or caring for loved ones experiencing distress. My work experience to date has allowed me to provide tailored support to clients across the age span—including family carers and individuals managing complex mental health needs.
My approach is easy-going and grounded in warmth, humour, and genuine curiosity. I aim to create a calm, respectful space where clients feel heard and supported as they explore their goals, challenges, and strengths.
Originally from the United States but living for many years on the mainland, I relocated to Tasmania with my family in 2019 and now proudly call The Channel home. When I’m not at Psychology South, I’m most likely cooking (I’m a reformed chef!), enjoying time with my family, reading, listening to podcasts, or walking along Tassie’s beautiful coastline.
HOW I WORK
My work is client-centred, strengths-based, and always collaborative. I tailor therapy to suit each individual, drawing on a range of evidence-based approaches and using visuals or analogies to help make concepts clear and relevant. I believe therapy can be both serious and light-hearted, and I aim to strike a balance that allows for both depth and ease.
Whether we’re working through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD, or life transitions, my goal is to ensure you leave each session with greater clarity, skills you can use, and a growing sense of agency in your own life.

I work with adults and have experience supporting people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, addiction, stress, self-esteem difficulties, domestic violence, and major life transitions.

I tailor these approaches to suit each individual’s needs and circumstances to support meaningful and sustainable change.
